Above the Lake
Wilder Ridge Retreat sits above a lake in Hunter, NY, just a few minutes from the mountain — close enough for an easy trip into town, quiet enough to hear the wind in the trees. The water spreads out below the house, with Hunter Mountain rising up behind it.
Inside, rich wood tones, layered plaid and wool, and leather and velvet seating set a tone that's warm and lived-in rather than staged — rustic materials done with a little more polish.
